How to add "Site Recovery Manager Peer vCenter Server" correctly ?
Have added in UMT 3.3 both vCenter servers that are used in a SRM setup (vCenter01 and vCenter02).
Have added on the protected site's vCenter server (vCenter01) the recovery site vCenter (vCenter02) as "Site Recovery Manager Peer vCenter Server"
On the recovery site vCenter (vCenter02) have I NOT added the protected site vCenter (vCenter01) as a "Site Recovery Manager Peer vCenter Server"
This is what I have understood to be the correct way of doing this from the help text on the line where one configure / add "Site Recovery Manager Peer vCenter Server" :
Specify in either, but not both, directions
But I still get an error message for one of the SRM servers :
Skipping collection for SRM server 10.1.2.3 of vCenter02.dns-record.no because no peer vCenter Server is configured.
This vCenter02 is the vCenter for the recovery site and it is not configured with a "Site Recovery Manager Peer vCenter Server" in UMT 3.3.
Is it correct that only one of the vCenter servers in a SRM pair should be configured with the "Site Recovery Manager Peer vCenter Server" setting ?
If this is the case - why do I get this error-message ?
