From Matthew Higgins:
When upgrading Usage Meter from 3.0.0, 3.0.1, or 3.0.2, the blue console screen will display 3.0.2 rather than 3.1. (The web UI will display perfectly; just the blue console screen.)
Steps:
1. Deploy fresh 3.0.0, 3.0.1, or 3.0.2 Usage Meter appliance.
2. Run the appropriate 300-310, 301-310, or 302-310 script at end of upgrade.
3. These scripts incorrectly set /opt/vmware/var/lib/vami/update/data/info/manifest-installed.xml such that the console will incorrectly display "3.0.2" rather than "3.1"
Expected:
The blue console will display 3.1 after an upgrade.
Actual:
The blue console displays 3.0.2 after an upgrade to 3.1.
Note: an easy workaround for those finding this PR is to edit the manifest-installed.xml file manually. Specifically one can fix the version number by editing the version and fullVersion tags in /opt/vmware/var/lib/vami/update/data/info/manifest-installed.xml.
From Dave Briccetti:
Values should be set as shown here:
<version>3.1.0.0</version>
<fullVersion>3.1.0.0 Build 1087764</fullVersion>
