Followed the instructions to set webpass, also looked through this thread deployed 3.5.0 and the documentation and product are confusing , cannot login on the Web UI
I've tried setting it to several different things thinking it was a password complexity problem, no avail.
Always a "Login Failed" message -- using admin\<passwd set via webpass>

I have tow vCenter server added to my product list in vCloud Usage Meter 3.5 Build 4359663.
Both has becom in the inactive list. If i try to re-activate the host i get the error:
There was a problem checking the certificate for vcenter01.name.local:443. Unexpected exception: java.net.UnknownHostException: vcenter01.name.local
There is no button to delete the host. How can I solve this?

I have installed Usage Meter 3.5, add the VCenter, Usage Meter collected a few times and suddenly stop and in the "Monitor" area in failures the following text appear:
"Please complete the configuration of the XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX. vRealize Operations server on the Manage Page Products Tab"
Thing is that I dont have this product, I had it a few years ago in trail mode just to try it out but delete both VM's (Analytics and UI) when the license expired, one of the solutions I have came across is that you have to put the credentials of the vRealize, but I don't really remember them and since they're no longer exist what is it good for?
One partial solution I found out, it's to delete the VCenter from it and add it again, but the message remains, in the version 3.3 there's the option of "Show inactive", but not anymore in the 3.5 version.
Is there a way to delete the association?, because I think VCenter kept the vRealize Operations info and Usage Meter thinks I still have it

Why my usage meter cannot show Resource Usage on marked license.

For metering, does UM3.5 differentiate whether VM is on/off?
UM can calculate the points based on days and hours of VMs used.
UM3.4 failed to count the exact usage hour of VMs.
So, how about UM 3.5?
Is it possible to receive hourly usage information in units of VDC by low data format?
"Days, Min vApps, Avg vApps.............Min VMs, Avg VMs, Max VMs"
If it is possible, can we able to distinguish whether VM is on/off from the provided data?
Can I use Monthly Usage Units to make memory usage statistics by VDC?

We just deployed new 3.5 appliance and running it in parallel with existing 3.3.3; all settings, customers and rules were imported to new installation.
We plan to cutover to new appliance on January 1st. Shutdown and archive old appliance at the same time.
What is the way to confirm new appliance is fully functional and VMware gets all the usage it expects? We don't want any surprises with the new install.

Started using the new version of Usage Meter (3.5) and we are NOT seeing this information in our reports anymore (which we saw in 3.4):
vCloud Service Provider Bundle - Premier Plus Edition Avg Billed RAM (GB) 248
Any one have an idea of why? Have I missed to tick some box or?

we used at the moment the Usage Meter 3.5. In the monthly report, the Usage Meter reports the "VMware vCloud SP Advanced Bundle".
But we use the "VMware vCloud SP Standard Bundle with Management".
How can i change the product bundle in the usage meter?

I am trying to add vRA to my vCloud Usage Meter 3.5 appliance. I am receiving an error as below:
Error in registering service in cafe host (fqdn of vRA Appliance) com.vmware.vcac.authentication.SsoAdminCientException: Can not retrieve the SSO SSL certificate chain.
I can confirm that the certificate on the vCloud Usage Meter appliance is a self signed default certificate. The certificates on my vRA infrastructure are all signed, not sure it is relevant???
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The OVA can't be deployed on vSphere 6.5.
I first fails with an "Unsupported Guest OS" because it's a version 4 VM
When I upgrade to any version higher it fails with a "password property not set"
Also, It's about time this VM was uppgraded to use vmxnet3 and pvsci instead of the E1000 and LSI Parallell.
This question arose several times in this community but was nether addressed afaik...
Customer is very unhappy with the UM appliance. Although no error messages or warnings are thrown they still get empty reports since starting UM 3.5 in October. I cannot believe that there is no mechanism to check at any time if the appliance is actually collecting data or not. I am wondering if UM is internally supported in any way as it seems to be impossible to get any technical assistance beside the hint that UM must run for at least one collection period (4-6 weeks?) to generate report with data )-: What if the appliance get offline for a few minutes?

Just want to ask if anyone experience this I provision vCUM 3.5 and upon adding the vcenter and accepting the certificate and editing the credential of the vROPS an error appear on the monitor tab that might be the reason why my vrops were not discovered by vCUM. I want to know when the Usage Meter version with Vsphere 6.5 support will be released.
....it's really annoying that there is no official information regarding release date for certain components which are blocking the updates of the whole ecosystem. I dont like the "Duke Nukem When it's done" approach regarding Vmwares Customer information (especially regarding VCD, Usage Meter).

We receive a lot of e-mails from our Usage Meter 3.5 appliance, saying "The Usage Meter services have been restarted because of an error" without anymore details.
However when I login to the web interface of the appliance, I can't see any errors or failures, all collections were successful.
Can you help me find what is causing these e-mails?

Is it possible to retrieve past monthly usages with the vCloud Metering Tool? If so, could you uplly me with a step-by step instruction?
